Head and neck support
Having the optinal neck and head support is of real value if you spend a long time working at a desk, especially if you get tightness in your neck or shoulders or get tension headaches. A head or neck rest allows the curve of the neck and the weight of the head to be supported.
Backrest
The ergonomically shaped backrest provides support in the right places and ensures sufficient freedom of movement for the shoulders and arms.
The back support is available in 3 different sizes depending on your height.
Armrests
Armrests allow the shoulder muscles to relax because the weight of the arms is supported in the correct working position. The Luton armrest has a pad that can be adjusted forwards and backwards as well as a stem that is height adjustable.
The Luton 4D armrest has a retractable pad which will also rotate and slide inwards and outwards.
Both armrest options have a width adjustment at the base of the armrest under the seat.
Seat-Memory foam or Pocket Springs
A memory foam seat topper comes as standard. For those wanting extra seat support and cushioning we offer pocket sprung seats. These come in a firm or a soft spring option.
Lumbar pumps
A lumbar pump is fitted as standard on the Spinekind chairs
These allow air to be pumped into the lower back section of the chair to increase the cushioning. For people wanting even more cushioning a 3 compartment “triple lumbar pump” can be chosen.
Handles
with the different levers you can adjust the chair in countless different ways to your personal preference..
Castors/Wheels
You can choose castors or wheels that are suitable for a carpeted floor (as standard) or a hard floor. These give the appropriate degree of mobility so you can slide the chair along the floor but not so easily that the chair moves when you want to stay still. We also provide the option of brake loaded castors that fix the wheels when there is weight on the chair if you want to prevent it from moving when you sit on it.
Chair base
This comes down to aesthetics and personal taste. Some people prefer a black base others prefer the look of the sleek look of the shiny Aluminium base.
